For a long time, Starfall Catastrophe has been a game of command.
You gathered allies.
You chose your actions.
You prepared your traps.
You watched the battlefield unfold from above.
That was Book I.
And Book I is complete.
But catastrophe does not repeat itself.
It changes the rules.
Something is coming.
Not another army.
Not another collection of allies waiting for orders.
Not another battlefield where you remain safely outside the fight.
In Book II, you step onto the battlefield yourself.
The Martial Age
Across distant lands, eight fighters are being drawn toward the same catastrophe.
They do not fight alike.
Some meet force with force.
Some refuse to meet it at all.
Some dominate distance.
Some surrender ground only to take control of the next moment.
Some study the opponent.
Some deceive them.
Some survive.
Some overwhelm.
Each has spent a lifetime learning a different answer to the same question:
What do you do when there is nobody left to command?
Book II is being built around eight distinct fighting paths.
Not eight variations of the same hero.
Eight philosophies.
Eight ways of understanding conflict.
And eight very different ways to win.
The Cards Are Changing Too
Book I was built around:
Heroes.
Allies.
Actions.
Traps.
Book II is taking a different path.
Three new families are emerging:
Martial Arts
The techniques your fighter has made part of themselves.
Weapon Arts
Not merely objects carried into battle, but the disciplines required to use them.
Secret Arts
The techniques held back until the moment they matter most.
The current Book II framework is being developed around thirteen of each path for every fighter.
But numbers are not the important change.
The important change is that the cards are no longer simply orders issued to a battlefield.
They are how your fighter fights.
And eventually, somebody will leave an Opening.
What happens then may decide everything.
We are deliberately not revealing the full system yet.
Book II is still being tested.
Thousands became tens of thousands.
Tens of thousands became a million simulated duels.
And now the machines have done enough.
The next fights belong to humans.
The Eight Are Coming
You will meet them individually.
Their faces.
Their histories.
Their weapons.
Their disciplines.
Their weaknesses.
And the paths that brought each of them to the catastrophe.
Some traditions will feel familiar.
Others will come from places Starfall has never visited before.
And some things that appear impossible may belong neither to history nor legend, but to Starfall itself.
For now, remember only this:
Book I was about controlling the battlefield.
Book II is about controlling yourself.
The Martial Age is coming.
Book I is complete. Book II remains in development.
