Teren touches the fine dart at his collar. Irritation gives way to uncertainty.
Teren: ...?
Panel 2
His knees begin to fail. He braces toward the wall as his balance goes.
No dialogue.
Panel 3
Mali turns back and catches him before his head strikes the stone. She is still unarmed.
Mali: Teren!
Panel 4
Mali supports Teren while the wounded courier sags against Vara. Neri rises at the wall; two emergencies divide the yard’s attention.
